The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce on November 12, 2005 participated in Team Florida - Germany organized by Enterprise Florida and led by Governor Jeb Bush with over 100 participants from throughout the state. The mission commenced in Munich and had other events in Düsseldorf and Basel, Switzerland. The GMCC took a delegation of business people involved in service industries to Frankfurt, Germany on November 16th for a seminar and informal networking lunch where they were able to meet individuals from the Frankfurt business community. The GMCC Frankfurt side mission was generously sponsored by the Codina Group and Global Expansion Group.

Between April 18 and May 20, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce launched Americas Linkage - Latin America and Caribbean Program 2005, marking the sixth year of this unique international business development program. Florida business executives from key service industries traveled to several cities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

At a breakfast co-hosted by the Miami Free Trade Zone on March 11, GMCC briefed members of the Consular Corps on the advocacy opportunity now offered to Consuls and Trade Representatives that participate in this special GMCC membership program. After the breakfast, guests were taken on a tour of the Miami Free Trade Zone's facilities.
